ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WFIE) – UPDATE:
Kentucky State Police report that Megan Cromer has been located and is safe.
PREVIOUS REPORT:
An Ashanti Alert was issued by the Kentucky State Police for 33-year-old Megan Cromer, who had been reported missing from Rockcastle County, located about an hour south of Lexington.
Cromer was last seen around 5:50 a.m. on Saturday. She is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 230 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Authorities had reason to believe she could be in danger and may have been traveling in a black 2016 Nissan Altima with the license plate N3N338.
Anyone with information was urged to call 911.
The Ashanti Alert system is designed for missing adults who may be endangered or whose disappearance may not be voluntary—serving a similar purpose to the Amber Alert, which is issued for children.
