Nationwide Recall: Popular Deodorant Sold at Walmart, Amazon, and Dollar Tree

Over 67,000 Cases of Power Stick Deodorant Recalled Nationwide Due to Safety Concerns

Varieties of a popular deodorant brand sold at major retailers—including Walmart, Amazon, and Dollar Tree—are being recalled across the United States. Manufacturer A.P. Deauville has voluntarily recalled more than 67,000 cases of its Power Stick deodorant products due to safety concerns flagged by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The nationwide recall impacts three specific Power Stick roll-on deodorant products:

  • 21,265 cases of Power Stick for Her Roll-on Antiperspirant Deodorant Powder Fresh
  • 22,482 cases of Power Stick Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant Spring Fresh
  • 23,467 cases of Power Stick Original Nourishing Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant

According to the FDA, the recall was initiated due to Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) deviations. These deviations refer to failures in following proper manufacturing standards that ensure products are safe, properly formulated, and meet quality control requirements. The FDA emphasizes that cGMP violations can affect product safety, potency, and consistency.

All the affected Power Stick deodorants were distributed nationwide and sold at leading retailers including Walmart, Dollar Tree, and Amazon.

While no injuries or adverse reactions have been reported yet, customers who purchased any of the recalled products are urged to stop using them immediately and contact the manufacturer or retailer for refund or replacement options.

The recall is classified as voluntary, but it underscores significant concerns about the production standards at A.P. Deauville’s manufacturing facility.
