Jeremy Strong co-stars in Scott Cooper’s upcoming biopic, set to hit theaters this fall.

Jeremy Allen White steps into the spotlight as Bruce Springsteen in the first trailer for Deliver Me From Nowhere, the highly anticipated biographical drama from writer-director Scott Cooper. The film is slated for release by 20th Century Studios on October 24.
White, best known for his Emmy-winning performance in The Bear, portrays Springsteen during the creation of Nebraska—the singer’s raw and introspective 1982 album widely regarded as one of his greatest works. Jeremy Strong plays Jon Landau, Springsteen’s longtime manager and producer.
The cast also includes Stephen Graham, Odessa Young, Paul Walter Hauser, Gaby Hoffmann, Johnny Cannizzaro, Harrison Gilbertson, Marc Maron, David Krumholtz, and Chris Jaymes.
Premiering at CinemaCon in April, early footage featured White’s moving performance of “Born to Run,” Springsteen’s breakout 1975 hit that marked his first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 Top 40.
In the trailer, White’s Springsteen reflects on his creative process: “I want it to feel like I’m in the room by myself.” Strong’s Landau adds, “With this album, Bruce is repairing that hole in himself. Once he’s done with that, he’s going to repair the entire world.”
The film is based on Warren Zanes’ 2023 book Deliver Me From Nowhere, with Cooper penning the screenplay and serving as a producer alongside Zanes, Scott Stuber, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, and Eric Robinson. Both Springsteen and Landau are directly involved in the production.
The music is overseen by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb, who has previously collaborated with Springsteen.
Speaking at CinemaCon, White described the role as a “dream come true,” adding, “We all had Bruce’s blessing on this film, and I feel really lucky.”
