Netflix’s ‘Million Dollar Beach House’ Star Killed in Hamptons Hit-and-Run Tragedy
A well-known luxury real estate agent who once starred on Netflix’s “Million Dollar Beach House” has died following a devastating hit-and-run incident in the Hamptons.
Sara Burack, 40, who specialized in elite, high-end properties across Manhattan and the Hamptons, was fatally struck on a road in Hampton Bays on Thursday afternoon. Police say she was found unconscious just before 3 p.m., and the driver responsible fled the scene. As of now, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not identified the vehicle involved.

The case is currently under investigation by the Southampton Town Police Department and the New York State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit. According to Dan’s Papers, no witnesses have come forward, and details about the vehicle remain unknown.
Burack gained recognition as a cast member on Netflix’s “Million Dollar Beach House,” a real estate reality series showcasing a group of ambitious agents battling to close deals on some of the most luxurious homes in the Hamptons. The series is known for its high drama and extravagant property listings, drawing comparisons to similar hit shows like “Selling Sunset.”

Before entering the real estate spotlight, Burack worked in her family’s commercial construction and materials business. She later transitioned into luxury real estate after spending summers managing rental properties — an experience she said sparked her interest in becoming a broker.
At the height of her career, she worked with Nest Seekers International, a brokerage known for representing elite listings. Though she left the agency over a year ago, her former colleagues say she remained in close contact.
Geoff Gifkins, Hamptons regional manager for Nest Seekers, remembered her warmly:
“Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Please be kind and respectful — this is a tremendous loss to her loved ones.”
Paulette Corsair, a real estate agent and close family friend, also spoke of Burack’s legacy:
“Sara was an amazing person who truly cared for others. She was known not just for her hard work and dedication in real estate, but for her generosity and commitment to fundraising causes in New York City.”
Burack had described “Million Dollar Beach House” as more than just a real estate show — calling it an invitation into the glamorous summer lifestyle of the Hamptons, complete with polo matches, yacht outings, and multimillion-dollar estates.
“Viewers will see not only beautiful homes but also the energy and excitement of summer in the Hamptons,” she once said in an interview with Hamptons.com.
Burack leaves behind a community that remembers her for her warmth, professionalism, and the lasting impression she made both on-screen and off.
