Olivia Munn Throws Shade at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez After Lavish $50M Wedding

Olivia Munn Subtly Criticizes Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Following Lavish $50M Wedding

Olivia Munn is once again making headlines—this time for a subtle dig at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez after their extravagant $50 million wedding in Venice, Italy.

Just a day after the high-profile ceremony, Munn took to Instagram to comment on a post from Mia Farrow that praised Bezos’ ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott. The post highlighted Scott’s philanthropic work, noting that as of December 2024, she had donated $19.3 billion to more than 1,600 charitable organizations.

“How awesome is MacKenzie Scott! (Jeff Bezos’ first wife & mother of his 4 children),” the post read. Munn, 44, responded simply: “Truly incredible.”

The actress’ pointed praise came shortly after the billionaire couple’s over-the-top celebration, and she wasn’t alone. Fellow celebrities Rosanna Arquette called Scott “a force of humanity and good,” while Sarah Jessica Parker, Katie Holmes, and Mandy Moore liked the post as well.

Meanwhile, Charlize Theron was far less subtle, bluntly stating that the newlyweds “suck.”

This isn’t Munn’s first time calling out Bezos and Sánchez. Back in April, she criticized Sánchez’s all-female Blue Origin spaceflight, calling it “gluttonous” during an appearance on the Today show.

“There are so many other things that are so important in the world right now,” Munn said. “It’s so much money to go to space, and there’s a lot of people who can’t even afford eggs.”

Other stars including Olivia Wilde, Amy Schumer, and Emily Ratajkowski joined in the criticism. Wilde joked about “billionaires buying good memes,” Schumer mocked the women’s in-flight accessories, and Ratajkowski condemned the space venture as being “built and paid for by a company that’s destroying the planet.”

In contrast to Bezos and Sánchez’s celebrity-packed wedding, Munn’s own 2024 marriage to comedian John Mulaney was a quiet affair held at a friend’s home in New York, attended only by their son Malcolm, a witness, and officiant Sam Waterston.

While Bezos and Sánchez celebrated with a guest list including Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Brady, Kim Kardashian, and Sydney Sweeney, Munn’s understated approach appears to have made its own statement.

Reps for Munn, Bezos, and Sánchez have yet to respond to requests for comment.
