WWE’s SmackDown had been in a bit of a slump throughout May, but looked to turn things around on June 6 with a stacked Money in the Bank go-home episode. And it worked—at least partially.
According to Programming Insider, the June 6 broadcast drew 1.424 million viewers and earned a 0.42 rating in the 18–49 demo. While the total viewership saw a modest 3% increase from the previous week, the demo rating surged by 23.5%, making it SmackDown’s best number in that key metric since the April 25 WrestleMania fallout episode.

Still, WWE couldn’t quite capture the top spot. ESPN’s coverage of the NCAA Softball World Series final between Texas and Texas Tech led the night with 2.4 million viewers and a 0.47 rating, edging out SmackDown despite its strong performance.
Notably, Programming Insider’s report didn’t include Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final on TNT, which extended into double overtime and likely affected the final rankings, particularly on the East Coast.
Looking ahead, SmackDown will go head-to-head with the NBA Finals this week, as Game 4 between Indiana and Oklahoma City airs in the same time slot.
We’ll report on how the Money in the Bank fallout episode performs — and continue tracking SmackDown’s weekly ratings history.
